Forklift driver (Montreal)

The goods transportation and warehousing sector offers a stimulating and dynamic work environment for forklift operators, who must ensure the transshipment of a wide variety of goods. Team up with over 500 workers in an organization that cares about its employees.

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS

The forklift driver loads and unloads trucks as well as handles goods using a forklift.

OTHER DUTIES

Here are some other tasks you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
  • Following health and safety regulations
  • Loading and unloading without forklift
  • General work

PROFILE WANTED

  • Have experience in the field of transportation and storage of goods (an asset);
  • Have completed a forklift course (an asset);
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, autonomy and perseverance;
  • Enjoy teamwork.

CONDITIONS

  • Full-time work;
  • Student or temporary position;
  • Competitive remuneration established according to the collective agreement (up to $23.31/h depending on experience and time and a half remuneration after 8 h per day);
  • Shifts:
    • TANSPORT BOURRET (LACHINE TERMINAL):
    • – Schedule from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Group insurance is paid +/- 70% by the employer, including eye and dental care. Medications are reimbursed at 80%.
  • Pension fund (after one year of service).

BENEFITS

  • At Bourret, forklift operators are equipped with new technologies and recent machinery;
  • New uniform including safety shoes provided every year;
  • Until ten sick days per year (3 days after 3 months of employment, then one day; additional cumulative each month up to a total of 10 days);
  • Up to six days of leave during the holiday period;
  • Cumulative overtime after eight hours per day for forklift operators.
