Your destination: Transdev Canada, a leader in the school transportation industry in the Sherbrooke region (CSSRS), is currently looking for candidates interested in participating in a paid training program to become school bus drivers.
Your roadmap: You will be part of an organization that is constantly growing! As a school bus driver, you will provide transportation services for our student clientele with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Your main responsibilities:
Drive the school bus safely and vigilantly, while respecting the Highway Safety Code (Law 430) and the standards set by the school boards. Follow established schedules for different routes. Perform the pre-departure safety check (RDS) of the bus used before each departure. Review any assignment, for replacement or new route, before each departure. Report any mechanical defects to the dispatch service. Fill out necessary documents for vehicle operation. Verify that no one is left on board the bus. Greet users courteously at various stops.
Your qualifications and training:
Meet the criteria of the SAAQ • Have less than 4 points of inaptitude on your driving record. • Have no criminal record related to employment. Pass the medical evaluation and visual test of the SAAQ. Hold a Class 2 learner's driver's license (an asset). Be available full-time for the beginning of July 2021 and part-time at the beginning of the school year.
Your skills:
Aptitude for customer service and willingness to develop your skills. Punctuality, availability, and professionalism. Knowledge of the region and sense of direction.
